A beautifully shot western where we find a young man who has betrayed his outlaw brothers and the man relentlessly hunting him down who end up in the mining town of La Belle inhabited by widows who lost their husbands in a mining explosion and the sheriff who has lost his manhood and is losing his eyesight as well! This is another great show on Netflix that brings the goods! The beautiful cinematography captures the beauty of the land and the desperation of its inhabitants. Sharp writing and solid directing are also highlights however pale in comparison to the stellar performances. Jeff Daniels is a chilling badass as Frank Griffin rivaled only by Merrit Wever as Mary Agnes and Michelle Dockery as Alice Fletcher. Adding a stunning final gunfight showdown caps the 7 episode run perfectly! Only negative is that it can be a bit a slow during the middle and a short lack of focus in around episode 4 and 5 made it a bit difficult to keep track of everything however it brings it together closer to the finale really nicely to lead us into the solid finale.
